It started in Haiti, in the dark.
Raised by a single mother, in a place where life does not hand you opportunities, I had to grow up fast and fight for hope every single day.
There were nights I had nothing to eat. When I finished high school, college felt impossible — no money, no road, no door open. All around me, others gave in. I made a different choice. I kept my eyes on my mother, and I decided I would stand, no matter what.
Then, in my darkest moment, I heard a name. Not in my head — with my own ears. An English word, spoken to me in a place where I had no reason to hear it. I knew, right then, that it was God speaking to me.
That name became my anchor. I would repeat it to myself: I will never give up. From having nothing in Haiti to running my own business today, one truth carried me the whole way.
